Ali Zafar is quickly becoming a coveted staple in Bollywood after his hit films, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and London Paris New York. With a remake of Chashme Buddoor already underway, director Eeshwar Nivas has now confirmed that Ali Zafar will indeed be starring in his tentatively titled film ‘Aman Ki Asha’ alongside Yami Guatami.
“Yes, I am making a film which stars Ali Zafar and Yami Gautami. It’s a love story. The film is tentatively titled ‘Aman Ki Aasha’ but we are contemplating other titles as well.” Yami Gautami who initially started out as a TV actress will be Ali Zafar’s third leading lady, joining the ranks of Katrina Kaif and Aditi Rao Hydari. With a successful transition to the big screen with hit movie “Vicky Donor”, Yami Guatami will no doubt be a worthy yin to Ali’s yang in the film.
Much about the film and its storyline is yet to be revealed, however, director E. Nivas confirmed that Ali and Yami are now on board the project which will be produced by Neeraj Pandey‘s production house. So far all he’s been willing to tell us is that the film is ‘about a Pakistani boy and an Indian girl’.
Not much to go on, but Ali has definitely displayed a hawk-eye for sniffing out good projects and there is little chance that this film will be anything but good if previous endeavors are taken into account. Some are even referring to this uncanny ability as the Midas-touch. However, time will determine how Ali’s next two films will pan out over the course of the year along with his other considerable commitments.
“Let’s see how things fall in place. The film will go on floors in March 2013,” said Nivas, who earlier directed Shool, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves and De Taali, among others.
