The Pakistan Fashion Design Council [PFDC] is set to host the eleventh iteration of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2018 scheduled to take place in Lahore from 9th till 11th of March 2018.
The PFDC continues to take the fashion week platform towards an international and global standard. To that end, March 2018 will witness the Pakistan Fashion Design Council giving each day of fashion week a curated experience featuring a combination of solo designer showcases, grouped designer shows, high street prêt-a-porter and high street luxury prêt showcases and the seasonal retail/lawn showcases; indeed the concept of solo and duo shows was first introduced by the Council on their S/S’17 shows. Further, as also introduced last year, #PSFW18 will feature shows divided between two entirely separate show spaces and two independent ramps within the same venue in their respective time slots.
In addition to this and in the spirit of evolution, the Pakistan Fashion Design Council will be introducing a new segment of fashion showcases, dedicated to design led craft for a series of capsule based collections. Indeed, this comes as a deliberate move from the Council to grow fashion week into a platform that allows high fashion and Pakistan’s indigenous craft to grow together to showcase fashion forward, craft led, artisanal ensembles.
The PFDC will announce participating fashion designers, textile and high-street brands as of February 2018.
