It is on this day that the Muslims all over the world celebrated the joyous holiday called “Eid.ul.Fitr”. On this day Muslims celebrate a month-long achievement which was performed for the sole purpose of pleasing and serving ALLAH.
For other nations, a holiday is a chance to immerse in worldly pleasures, or to involve oneself in prohibited acts to the utmost. But for the Muslims, the Eid is an occasion to increase good deeds by bringing happiness and pleasure to the hearts of others by helping and supporting the poor and needy and also by getting involved in pastimes that emphasize the strong and serious Islamic character.

Remember, being a parent you are the only guider of your children. So take this Eid to re structure and re build your parent child relationship and teach your children the way that ALLAH teaches us.
As children love to celebrate eid because the holiday is so festive and they receive “Eidi” from adults and they end up the day by making a lot of cash which make them happy and joyous.
However, there is more that can be done to raise the spirit of Eid in children and as a parent you should always look for such ideas.
Following are some ways, by using them; a parent can raise the Islamic spirit of Eid celebrations among your children and make the Eid more complete for them.
- Take your child to the Masjid or Eid Gah to show the rich and complete Islamic tradition. It will help him have a hands-on experience of the way Eid is actually celebrated and will definitely find it interesting.
- Tell your child to say loudly the “Takbeer” while leaving the home for Eid prayer.. It is Sunnah to say Takbeer loudly when leaving our homes to go to Eid Prayer. The Prophet used to say this until he finished the Prayer.
- Tell your child that music is prohibited in the Islamic celebrations. But, it is permitted to listen to songs (without musical instruments) on Eid day especially for children. [Bukhaari and Muslim].
