The suns scorching your back and hunger pangs are torturing your very soul; losing our temper seems easy to do in Ramadan. During a temper tantrum most of us are asking ourselves inside "What’s going on here; what made you snap?" or, "Settle down, it’s not that bad… look at how you’re scaring your loved ones with your anger!" The ‘anger habit’ includes the tendency to experience temper tantrums, feelings of on-going frustration, resentment, irritability, etc. Anger is a habit and nothing more; throwing a temper tantrum it is a habitual way of behaving to circumstances we disapprove. Anger or temper is not ‘who or how I am’ – it is ‘how I react’.
The anger habit can control your life. Anger can damage your health. Anger can ruin peace of mind. Anger can spoil your relationships. Anger can jeopardize your career. Anger costs you your liberty.
Anger is the result of when events in our world are not going according to our plans. When we see people not marching to our tune, anger kicks in making one victim to temper.
In essence, anger is the feeling we get when we want to control the world about us. See how childish that sounds! Understand your anger better to to be able to deal with your anger better.
